Min Ju Kang (Medicine), along with collaborators Axel Rivas, MD (Medicine alumnus); Jasmin Kumar (Medicine); Paul Janda, DO from the Las Vegas Neurology Center; and Aroucha Vickers, DO from the Las Vegas Neurology Center; published the case report “Sequential Bilateral Optic Neuropathy Associated With IgM-Secreting B-cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma” in Cureus. The report describes a patient who developed progressive vision loss in both eyes and was subsequently diagnosed with a rare form of B-cell lymphoma despite initially inconclusive diagnostic testing. The findings highlight the importance of considering underlying systemic and hematologic disorders in patients with unexplained optic neuropathy, particularly when conventional imaging is unrevealing. This publication reflects interdisciplinary collaboration among medical students and physicians in ophthalmology and neurology.
