Michelle G. Paul (UNLV PRACTICE), Ph.D., assistant vice president of Mental & Behavioral Health Training, and the Workday endowed executive director of UNLV PRACTICE was honored by the Nevada Psychological Association at its Annual Conference on May 10 with the James Mikawa award, which honors a psychologist whose work is outstanding in the field. The namesake for this award is past UNR professor James Mikawa, who was with the department of psychology for 27 years serving in many administrative positions, including chair of the department. The one area Mikawa most valued was mentoring and teaching students.
