Presentation: Kathy Lauckner

Kathy Lauckner (Environmental and Public Affairs) was an invited speaker at the California Conference on Lead, Housing & Healthy Homes in San Gabriel, Calif., in April. This special regional conference was for housing inspectors, code officials, environmental health specialists, lead and healthy housing program managers, and community advocates. The guests learned the "how to" information necessary for lead poisoning prevention, hazard control, indoor environmental hazard identification and remediation, legal rights, regulatory issues, and outreach. It was an excellent opportunity to tout UNLV's accomplishments and partnerships between our environmental training program and community work through the School of Community Health Sciences.
