Isabelle Avenido, Kathi Pauli, and Rosalie Kalili (all Medicine), along with individuals from Heersink School of Medicine, held a workshop at the 2025 Learning Communities Institute (LCI) Annual Conference, titled "Engaging Student Leadership in Learning Communities: Building from Scratch or Leveling Up: Practical Models, Shared Struggles, and Fresh Ideas from Two Institutions." Attendees explored how student leadership drives success in learning communities and learned from two institutions’ models — what works, what doesn’t—and gained practical tools and a framework to strengthen or launch impactful student leadership at their institution.
