Hal Berghel (Computer Science) published an article titled, "A Generative AI Perspective on the Turing Test: Passed but Not Vindicated," in the current issue of IEEE Computer. In this article Berghel argues that while it seems clear that generative artificial intelligence has passed the Turing test, it does not follow that GenAI has demonstrated human-level intelligence.
