Gary Totten (Faculty Affairs) attended the Modern Language Association annual convention in Toronto, Canada, and presented a paper, "The Rhetoric of the Leadership Pipeline," as part of a panel on the Rhetoric of Academic Leadership. In the paper, he discussed ongoing development by the Office of Faculty Affairs of various leadership programs at UNLV that support leadership pipelines in academic units. At the convention, he also participated as a journal editor in a roundtable discussion, sponsored by the Council of Editors of Learned Journals, about the challenges and opportunities of journal special issues.
