UNLV School of Medicine students contributed to the adoption of national policy at the 2025 American Medical Association (AMA) Annual House of Delegates with the adoption of resolution D-295.298, Addressing Professionalism Standards in Medical Training. The resolution was led by Eduardo Soto, with coauthors Eileen Enriquez, Linsey Golding, Mira Dani, Nataliyah Tahir, Micah Char, Isabelle Avenido, and Avni Joshi (all Medicine). The resolution states that the AMA will establish professionalism guidelines for medical schools and residency programs, including clear outlines of actions that may constitute violations. Its passage reflects student-led efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and consistency in professional standards across medical education.
