Presentation: David Schwartz

David G. Schwartz (Faculty Affairs) recently gave a presentation at the historic Mob Museum on the legacy of the Sands Hotel. The Sands was one of the glamorous resorts that transformed Las Vegas into an international resort destination in the 1950s. In his talk, Schwartz traced the story of the Sands, from its Mob origins and the Rat Pack to Howard Hughes and its ultimate implosion. This multimedia presentation also highlighted the many fascinating characters who made the Sands an enduring icon on the Strip.
