Colette LaBouff and Charlotte Wyatt (both Black Mountain Institute) presented the workshop, "Becoming Arts Leaders: Exploring Mentorship in Arts Administration," at the Third Annual Las Vegas Arts and Culture Summit, on Aug. 21 at the Historic Fifth Street School, Downtown Las Vegas.
The workshop was for arts organizations, and explored the possibilities for formal mentorships for arts administration in Las Vegas, to foster the arts leadership community in Southern Nevada. The workshop included exercises and conversation based on BMI’s findings from their recent “Exploring Mentorship” workshop, funded by the Creative Media, Entertainment, and Cultural Industries Interdisciplinary Research Development Area (iRDA) at UNLV.
