The Center for Academic Enrichment and Outreach has been awarded three discretionary/nationally competitive TRiO Upward Bound grants totaling $4.5 million. Each is a five-year grant. The grants will serve more than 1,000 high school students in the Clark County School District. Upward Bound provides fundamental support to participants in their preparation for college entrance. The program provides opportunities for participants to succeed in their precollege performance and ultimately in their higher education pursuits. The goal of Upward Bound is to increase the rate at which participants complete secondary education and enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education.
