Brisa Rodriguez Alcantar (Social and Behavioral Health), Priyambda Kumra (Environmental and Occupational Health), Asma Awan, Christopher Johansen, and Manoj Sharma, (all Social and Behavioral Health) presented a poster tilted “A systematic review of interventions to increase physical activity behavior among Latino adults” at the American Public Health Association 2024 Annual Meeting held from October 27-30, 2024, in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The poster was part of the Latino Caucus for Innovations in Latino Health: Shaping Tomorrow's Wellness and Equity Landscape session. The review explained that multi-level interventions are necessary to increase PA among Latinos in the US. Future interventions should evaluate other factors such as acculturation, social support, environmental factors, self-efficacy, and motivational readiness, which are essential for long-term PA sustainment. Kumra is a Master's student and Alcantar is a PhD student.
