All requests for J-1 exchange visitors (including J-1 program extensions) should be submitted online by the hosting department through the OISS portal. The completed request should be submitted to International Student and Scholar Compliance at least eight weeks prior to the program start date. However, submitting these documents several months in advance of a planned J-1 visit is strongly recommended. Please contact International Student and Scholar Compliance with any questions.
UNLV hosting/hiring departments must select the “UNLV Department Contacts Only” button in order to login. You will be prompted to login using your ACE credentials. If you do not yet have access to the OISS Portal, contact International Student and Scholar Compliance (scholar@unlv.edu) and you will be sent an email with login instructions.
