Get Involved With Friends of History

Friends of History is an exclusive group of donors who have an affinity and appreciation for the UNLV Department of History. They advocate for the growth of history as an academic discipline, the preservation of historic artifacts, and the access to learning about the historic significance of events, people, and places.

Donate to Friends of History

All donations go towards promoting history as major (student recruitment and retention, scholarships) and research support (faculty and students, projects, travel for research or conferences, archiving, promoting, story telling, etc.) Donors receive VIP access to events and programs (lectures, historic sites, museum tours, etc.); public speaking opportunities (serving on panels, being a keynote or guest speaker); the opportunity to participate in notable philanthropy to COLA, UNLV, and the greater Las Vegas community and recognition on this website & social media.

To submit a donation, complete the following steps:

  1. Visit the College of Liberal Arts Support page
  2. Scroll down to the “History Department” card
  3. Select the amount and frequency of your donation
  4. In the “program designation” field, select “Friends of History” from the drop down menu
  5. Add the donation to your cart and check out

Attend an Upcoming Event

Throughout the year, the History Department hosts educational and professional events that are open to the UNLV community, including alumni. We encourage you to join us at an event to expand your knowledge and build community.
