Notary Services are available by appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Our office is located on the third floor of the Student Union in Room 315.

We do not accept same day appointments. You will receive a response within two business days to schedule an appointment. Please note that the availability of our Notaries may be limited due to staffing schedules.

What to Bring?

You must bring one form of identification (please see acceptable forms of identification below) and the documents you need to notarize.

Acceptable Forms of Identification (must be current, not expired)

  • Driver’s license or State Issued ID Card
  • U.S. Passport
  • Foreign Passport, validated by INS
  • Driver’s License issued in Mexico or Canada
  • U.S. Military Card


Any UNLV affiliated document will be notarized at no cost to the signer.

Certified Copies

A certified copy is an exact, complete, and unaltered copy of a document that is not a publicly recorded document, signed as a true copy of the original by the public official who made the copy.

Please note it is not legal to certify a copy of a birth, death, fetal death, or marriage certificate. It is also not legal to certify a copy of a decree of divorce or annulment of marriage. You must contact the entity responsible for issuing the original document.
