A group of men

Welcome

We work to  provide and improve telecommunications services at UNLV and conduct maintenance of desk phones, wireless devices,  underground infrastructure, and most telecommunication electronics.

Wireless Program

As part of the UNLV contract for wireless service, students, faculty and staff are eligible for discounts on their personal service from all of the four major carriers.

Phone Training Guides/Submit Work Order

These phone training guides are intended to provide you with instructions to help you understand how to use the numerous features of Cisco, voicemail and conferencing that we provide to campus.

Policies and Procedures

The primary responsibility of Telecommunications is to provide the UNLV community with various voice and data telecommunication services. Telecommunications coordinates all telecommunication service orders. Departments should contact Telecommunications to request service and report problems. Departments should not contact vendors or perform their own telephone wiring. Only the vendor(s) under university contract may perform wiring for telecommunication equipment and services.

Voice Over IP (VOIP) Transition

Telecommunication Services is pleased to announce our plan to transition the campus from analog/digital to Cisco’s Voice over IP technology and infrastructure. This is a large step in the direction of a fully Converged Network as well as moving UNLV forward towards the Internet of Things.

New Features

Telecommunications is constantly striving to improve the services they provide to campus. Check out our New Features for information on the newest features and service improvements.
