NIH Grant Writing Workshop

UNLV faculty and staff are invited to join a free, two-day grant writing workshop hosted by the College of Sciences on Wednesday - Thursday, March 27-28.

The workshop will be presented by the University of Kentucky iMERS program which aims to improve the competitiveness of applications seeking National Institutes of Health (NIH) funding, particularly at Minority Serving Institutions. This workshop is for faculty, postdocs and research development professionals interested in pursuing NIH funding. Presentations will cover how to improve components in an NIH application that include but are not limited to specific aims, project description, rigor and reproducibility.


We can host up to 56 participants in-person at the UNLV Student Union, 208C, and the rest of the participants can join virtually. A two-day attendance is encouraged but optional, so please reserve your spot early! Continental breakfast and catered lunch will be provided on both days by the College of Sciences.The program will run from 9 a.m. - 4:45 p.m. on the first day and 9 a.m.- 4:15 p.m. on the second day.
