Exciting Opportunity for Families: Help Us Understand Kids' Perspectives on Voice Assistants!

Professor Jennifer Rennels’ Baby & Child Rebel Lab at UNLV is seeking families with 7.5- to 9.5-year-olds to participate in a research study that examine factors that influence people's judgments about voice assistants (VA). During your short visit, we will ask your child to interact with the voice assistant and learn about a new animal, draw the VA, and rate the VA’s attributes. During the study, we will video record and audio record your child’s responses. Our studies last approximately 25 minutes, with an average visit to the lab lasting about 30 - 45 minutes. There might not be direct benefits to your child, but all children receive a small toy, a snack, and a certificate for participating. The study will take place in our lab at UNLV, which is located in the CLB 2 building (https://www.unlv.edu/maps/clb2). If you are interested in letting your child participate in this study or want more information, please email us at childlab@unlv.nevada.edu or call us at 702-895-4651. For further details about our research, see our lab website.
