Cannabis Policy Institute Welcomes Cross-disciplinary Researchers for "State of Research" Panel May 28

The Cannabis Policy Institute will welcome researchers and experts across multiple disciplines for its "State of Research" panel on Tuesday, May 28 at 1:30 p.m., to be held in the William S. Boyd School of Law Moot Courtroom. 

The researchers and experts include:

  • Dr. Duke Fu, who will discuss industry research and its interests as well as cannabis research in Thailand and Portugal.
  • Michelle Tomasino will review clinical trials at UNLV and other schools as well as other cannabis research being conducted at UNLV.
  • Dr. Nick Spirtos will discuss opiate cessation research and research in Uruguay.
  • Dr. Chad Kinney will review research being conducted through ICR and give an overview of ICR.
  • Dr. Rochelle Hines will give a talk about the components of cannabis, focusing on CBD and terpenes, as well as novel derivatives and connections to psychedelics research.
