Mary Whitehead (Student Diversity and Social Justice) presented a workshop Oct. 29, "Living the Oakton Experience Through an Antiracist Lens" at Oakton Community College "Learning Day" in which all employees at the college learn together.  This workshop focused on the impact of guided pathways and implementing institutional strategies that foster inclusive campus environments by gaining knowledge in key anti-racist, equity, and justice concepts.

Mary Whitehead (Student Diversity and Social Justice) recently presented on "Navigating Microaggression, Racist Incidents & Racial Trauma in the Workplace" at the Women in Leadership Symposium - Telling HERstory.  In honor of the Women's Bureau Centennial, the bureau is encouraging leaders to tell their story by participating in the "Our Purpose. Your Work." Initiative.

Kevin Wright (Student Diversity & Social Justice) was selected as a participant to be a part of the For(bes) the Culture initiative. This initiative was created by Forbes to create equitable pathways for Black and Brown professionals. This initiative is a hub for elite leaders of color who are breaking down barriers and impacting culture globally to connect, collaborate, and change.

Kevin Wright (Student Diversity & Social Justice) presented at the 2020 Virtual LEAD School, hosted by the International Fraternity of Delta Sigma Pi. The topic of the presentation was incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into contemporary business practices.
