The Graduate College Programs Committee reviews and makes recommendations regarding all new graduate degrees, certificates, microcredentials, and programs. The committee also reviews and recommends for approval any proposed changes to existing graduate programs. This body is critical for making recommendations at the institutional level.  See the Curriculum Changes website for details regarding making modifications to the graduate curriculum.

Schedule of Meetings for Graduate Programs

Please do some early planning and note the following as your College/School plan curricular changes for your graduate programs in AY2026-2027.

Please note:

For AY2026-27, the final technical review for any program proposals conducted by the Graduate Tech Review Committee is March 2nd, 2027, at 5 p.m. This is to allow sufficient time for review and feedback on proposals as well as processing through the Colleges/Schools in order to be included in the final Graduate Programs Committee (GPC) meeting. We cannot guarantee that any proposals submitted after this time will be included in the final Graduate Programs Committee meeting.

The final acceptance of approved College/School Program proposals in Curriculog will be no later than March 29, 2027, at 5 p.m. Any program proposals that have not been forwarded with complete approval signatures in Curriculog to the Graduate Programs Committee by this time will not be considered for the final Graduate Programs Committee meeting for AY2026-27. To allow for sufficient time to review and approval, no exceptions will be made for this firm deadline.

The Graduate Programs Committee typically meets on the first Tuesday of the month from 1-3 p.m. Submission Deadlines indicate that the proposals have received all approval signatures from the unit and at the Graduate Programs Committee Step in Curriculog. Invitations will be issued to the proposers or their designee, as appropriate. Though we may be able to approve program changes in the PeopleSoft system after the deadlines below, we cannot guarantee that proposals submitted past these deadlines will be available for the desired semester. We encourage units to submit proposals as early as possible. Our Grad Curricular Coordinator offers individual consultation and support for any Curriculog submission (gradcurriculum@unlv.edu).
