F23 Service Day: Springs Preserve

Description

Service Day is a day of service hosted and put on by UNLVolunteers. Service Day sends 200 or so UNLV students out into our Clark County community for three hours of service with various community partners located throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Participants are expected to meet on campus starting at 8 a.m., where they will meet with their group site leader and enjoy some light breakfast refreshments provided by UNLVolunteers. Volunteers, under no circumstances, will be allowed to meet at the site first.

Please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and long pants. All participants will also be given one of our F23 Service Day shirts for them to wear.

Springs Preserve is dedicated to preserving all qualified Nevada public lands as wilderness, protecting all present and potential wilderness from ongoing threats, informing the public about the values of and need for wilderness, and restoring and improving the management of wild lands. For this service project, you will be assisting with trail maintenance. 

Service will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for a total of three hours of service hours credited and will return to campus by 1 p.m. to enjoy a free lunch provided by UNLVolunteers. 

You must follow all guidelines provided by Springs Preserve at all times. By signing up for this shift, you are agreeing that you will follow and abide by all of the rules and guidelines provided by Springs Preserve, including any Covid Guidelines that Springs Preserve may ask you to follow.
