Description

Service Day is a day of service hosted and put on by UNLVolunteers. Service Day sends 200 or so UNLV students out into our Clark County community for three hours of service with various community partners located throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

Participants are expected to meet on campus starting at 8am, where they will meet with their group site leader and enjoy some light breakfast refreshments provided by UNLVolunteers. Volunteers, under no circumstances, will be allowed to meet at the site first.

Please make sure to wear close-toed shoes and long pants. All participants will also be given one of our F23 Service Day shirts for them to wear.

Since 1941, Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada has served the most vulnerable, regardless of age, race, religion, or creed. Through the generosity of foundations, grants, organizations, and individual donors, Catholic Charities operates 16 programs providing support to more than 4,000 people daily. Catholic Charities also operates the largest Meals on Wheels program and Emergency Shelter Services in Southern Nevada. Catholic Charities focus is to give help and hope to people in need regardless of race, religion or creed.

Service, for Catholic Charities, will be from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. for a total of two hours of service hours credited and will return to campus by 1 p.m. to enjoy a free lunch provided by UNLVolunteers. Volunteers will be serving community members during Catholic Charities community meal hour.

You must follow all guidelines provided by Catholic Charities at all times. By signing up for this shift, you are agreeing that you will follow and abide by all of the rules and guidelines provided by Catholic Charities, including any covid guidelines that Catholic Charities may ask you to follow

All Catholic Charities participants are being asked by Catholic Charities to please register for their shift.

Participants will also sign a liability waiver upon first checking-in at the site.
