The White Coat Ceremony marks the transition of a medical student from the classroom to the clinic and the hospital bedside. The white coat is a symbol of that transition. The coating of the students by their clinical faculty affirms that the student will continue to put the interests of the patient first.

• Dress Code: Business casual wear is encouraged for guests, students and mentors. Physicians are invited to wear their white coats.
• Reception: All attendees are invited to brief reception following the event.
