Build Your Own English Program

UNLV’s non-credit English programs are designed to be flexible, inclusive, and goal-oriented. Whether you want to study full-time, improve a specific skill, or fit learning into your evenings or weekends, you can choose what works best for you.

All courses are open to:

  • International students
  • Community members and professionals
  • UNLV degree students seeking additional English support
  • Adults age 18+ — no degree required

How It Works

You may take as many courses as you wish to meet your goals.

  • F-1 visa holders here to study English language only must enroll full-time (4 courses= 20 hours/week)
    • Courses are in-person, Monday through Friday, on the UNLV campus
    • Requires an application through the Office of Admissions
  • Domestic students, full-time degree seeking students, or part-time learners may take any number of courses
    • Courses are in-person, online, on weekdays, and on weekends

Weekdays

Perfect for UNLV degree-seeking students or anyone who wants to study on weekdays in the mornings or afternoons. Courses last for one semester and are skill-specific.

Schedule Options

  • Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays
  • 9 -11:45 a.m. or 1 -3:45 p.m.

Evenings & Weekends

Perfect for working adults, part-time learners, visitors, or anyone looking to strengthen their English outside of regular work or school hours. Courses are short-term and skill-specific.
