The RDI public forum debate program at the University of Nevada Las Vegas is an intensive, 10-day research and practice focused laboratory for students who compete in public forum debate. Local public forum debate legend and Tournament of Champions qualifier, Conrad Palor has designed the curriculum and will lead this program. It will focus on substantial topic and debate skills instruction, directed assignments, and full practice rounds, mixed with mini-debates to focus on improving specific skills. It also will provide tangible assessments to both students and coaches. The RDI public forum program promises to provide a fun and intensive learning environment. We will attempt to cater to student’s individual debate experience levels through classroom instruction, interactive drills, and practice debates.
The RDI public forum program will run from July 22-July 31, 2019 (every day) from 9 a.m.–5 p.m.. The price for the RDI public forum program is $500 per student. Children of UNLV faculty, staff, and students are eligible for a discount, and CCSD students may be eligible to receive financial assistance!
