About the Forum

The Sanford I. Berman Debate Forum was created in 2007, thanks to a generous gift from Dr. Sanford I. and Sande Berman. The team competes in NDT/CEDA policy debate tournaments around the country from Northwestern University to the University of Texas, and from Harvard University to the University of California, Berkeley.

Since the team’s inception, it has risen in the national debate rankings, and is now established as one of the top policy debate teams in the country. The team is committed to proudly representing the university in debate competition, promoting debate and informed public discourse in our community, and to supporting the expansion of access to policy debate for diverse populations of high school and university students.
