Faculty, staff, students, and registered volunteers traveling overnight on official UNLV business may purchase lodging accommodations:

• Preferably from Fedrooms, directly from a hotel, or online through a hotel or travel website.
• Service fees, cleaning fees, and resort fees are not included in the per diem rate.
• The university follows the existing federal general services administration (GSA) travel regulations for lodging and meal per diem.
• Federal rates represent the maximum allowable reimbursement to travelers.

Without documented travel approval through a spend authorization or written correspondence, employees may be responsible for all costs of travel.
