Cristy Correa-Davis is a master’s student in Couple and Family Therapy at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). She earned her bachelor’s degree at UNLV in Multidisciplinary Studies, with concentrations in Psychology, Sociology, and Gender and Sexualities. After graduating in 2021 during the COVID-19 pandemic, Cristy developed a strong passion for mental health advocacy and supporting others, which led her to pursue graduate studies with the goal of becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and eventually opening her own private practice. Cristy is passionate about serving first responders and contributing to the well-being of the communities she serves.
Cristy serves as a Graduate Assistant and Fellowship Program Coordinator at the UNLV Graduate College, where she has worked for more than eight years supporting graduate students. Her commitment to service and mentorship has continued to grow through her involvement as a graduate student with The Grad Academy where she served as a Grad Rebel Advantage mentor to a group of undergraduate students. She currently serves as a Grad Rebel Ambassador, representing the Graduate College and promoting graduate education.
Outside of her professional and academic pursuits, one of Cristy’s passions is reading. This passion has grown into her involvement as Vice President of Off the Shelf: A Banned Book Club, a Graduate Registered Student Organization.
