Apply for the Cap & Gown Lending Program

The Undergraduate Cap & Gown Lending Program aims to support UNLV students who are experiencing financial insecurity by providing regalia packages (cap, gown, and tassel) to support them in participating in their commencement ceremony. Applications are posted approximately two months prior to commencement each semester, and students are asked to only apply during the semester of their graduation. Loaned regalia packages are distributed based on need and timing of application responses. All loaned regalia must be returned to the Basic Needs Program within two weeks after commencement.

Applications for the Fall 2026 commencement are currently closed and will go live in October 2026. Please check our website for updates, and email basicneeds@unlv.edu with any questions.
