The Applied Geophysics Center aims to increase awareness of local earthquake hazards and risks. It enhances the knowledge of geophysical issues and hazards that affect Southern Nevada and helps mitigate the consequences of any future seismic activity.

The Center for Applied Mathematics and Statistics provides applied mathematics support and statistical data analysis to faculty, staff, and student researchers within UNLV and clients from government and industries.

The Center for Mathematics, Science, and Engineering Education is dedicated to improving both science and mathematics teaching and learning. The center is a collaborative venture among the College of Sciences, the College of Education, and mathematics and science personnel from the Clark County School District.

The Center for Urban Horticulture and Water Conservation researches ways for the residents of urban communities, including Southern Nevada, to become better stewards of their water resources, and develops best management practices for all aspects of water utilization.

High Pressure Science and Engineering Center

The High Pressure Science and Engineering Center is a multidisciplinary group who collaborates to consider fundamental experimental, computational, and engineering problems of materials under high pressure. It focuses on properties of materials relevant to the National Nuclear Security Administration’s Stockpile Stewardship Program.
