Nevada law allows a sole proprietor to reject workers' compensation coverage if he/she does not use employees or subcontractors in the performance of his/her contract with NSHE. See Nev. Rev. Stat. §616B.627 and 617.210.

This rejection also applies to Officers of a company. See Nev. Rev. Stat. §616B.627 and 617.207.

Sole proprietors or officers rejecting workers' compensation coverage under Nevada law must provide an Affidavit of Rejection of Coverage. To be valid, the document must be:

• Signed and notarized.
• Completed prior to performing any services under the NSHE contract.
• Affidavit of Rejection of Coverage - Sole Proprietor
• Affidavit of Rejection of Coverage - Officer
