This award is given annually to honor a chair/director who epitomizes the highest levels of excellence in pursuit of the unit’s mission and strategic goals. Winners are announced at the annual Academic Achievement Awards Ceremony in the spring. The award is administered by the Office of Faculty Affairs.

Chair and Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and Construction

Dr. Ahmad is recognized for his strong leadership and effective management of the department, which has shown a positive trajectory in departmental metrics, including graduation rates at all levels. He was also recently re-elected unanimously for a second term as Chair, demonstrating the confidence his colleagues have in his leadership.
