Handicapped and Reserved
- Handicapped and reserved parking are enforced 24 hours, seven days a week.
Types of Permits and Costs
Semester and annual permits are prorated the 1st of each month beginning October 1st.
General Student
Student permits are available for purchase by all undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at UNLV. Student permits are valid in student spaces only. Students with a valid student permit may park in faculty/staff spaces after 5 p.m., with the exception of Lot I. New permits must be purchased every year. Must show student ID.

- Annual Student Permit - $282.00
- Fall and Spring Semester - $211.50
- Semester Permit - $105.75
- Monthly Student Permit - $23.50
- Weekly Student Permit - $12.00
- Daily Student Permit - $6.00
Reserved Parking
Reserved spaces are sold to interested faculty, staff, or students on a first-come, first-served basis. There is usually a waiting list for reserved parking. If spaces are not available and you would like to place your name on the list, please call 702-895-1300. A Parking & Transportation Services representative will contact you when a space is available. At that time, you will have the option to purchase the space or opt out.
Reserved permits are valid in the assigned numbered reserved space and all student spaces. Reserved parking is enforced 24 hours a day. There are three lots with reserved spaces:
- Lot A (the parking garage on Cottage Grove Avenue)
- Lot G (located between Beam Hall and Tonopah Hall).
- Lot N (next to the Lied Library)

Costs
- Reserved Annual Permits - $887.00
Academic reserved permits are approved by department directors and available to deans, associate vice presidents, and above.
Resident
Resident permits are available for purchase by all students living in UNLV’s residence halls.
Resident permits are lot-specific. When purchasing a resident permit, you will select your preferred lot:
- Resident Lot A, located south of the Resident Services Building near the Dayton Complex and South Residential Complex.
- Resident Lot B, located east of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center, close to the Tonopah complex.
Resident permits are only valid in spaces marked "resident." They are not valid in student spaces.
Cost
Resident permits can only be purchased on an annual basis.

Resident permits are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis and sell out quickly. Purchase your permit early to ensure access to a lot of your choice.
Motorcycle
Motorcycles must park in designated motorcycle areas and cannot occupy automobile parking spaces. Motorcycles are not allowed on campus sidewalks or walkways. You can purchase a permit online or in-person.
Cost
- Annual Motorcycle Permit - $158.00
- Semester Permit - $59.27
- Fall and Spring Semester - $118.53
Mopeds must be parked in motorcycle parking areas only. Permits are required. Mopeds cannot be operated on campus sidewalks or walkways.
Handicapped/American Disabilities Act (ADA) Accommodations
Handicapped parking permits are available for purchase by those with a valid state-issued handicapped license plate or tag. All individuals with a state-issued handicapped parking placard must also purchase a campus handicap parking permit and display both in their vehicle.
To purchase handicapped permits, the driver must:
- Present their current placard along with the letter received at the time of issuance.
- Provide one form of photo identification.
The registered owner of the handicapped plate or tag must be in the vehicle when it is being parked. If your vehicle does not have a handicapped license plate, the portable handicapped tag issued by the state must be displayed on the rearview mirror or face-up on the vehicle dashboard.

Students found parked illegally in a handicapped space will be referred to the Office of Student Conduct for disciplinary action.
Expectant Mother Accommodations
Parking & Transportation Services offers a special needs permit for expectant mothers who require closer parking for a temporary period of time. Expectant mothers may obtain this permit by providing a note from their physician to Parking and Transportation Services. A valid parking permit is required to be granted special needs accommodation.

Bicycles
- Parking permits are not required for bicycles or mopeds.
- Keep pedestrian safety in mind when riding and parking bikes on campus.
- Bicycles must be parked in bike racks.
- Bicycles cannot be parked or driven on pedestrian ramps to buildings or inside buildings.
