Incoming First-Year Students
All incoming first-year students are required to complete both parts of New Student Orientation.
Part 1: Virtual Group Advising Session
- Learn more about your major and attend an academic advising session
- Review your first semester classes
- You will receive the zoom link 2 days prior via email, all sessions are held in pacific time
Part 2: New Student Orientation
- Take part in sessions to learn more about UNLV
- Participate in a group meetups with your fellow classmates
- Take a campus tour and learn about the campus
- Learn about getting involved and how to transition into college life
First-year students must attend the entire program in order for their orientation hold to be released.
Incoming Transfer, Military & Veteran, and International Students
All students are required to complete Online Pre-Orientation and attend New Student Orientation.
Transfer students
Transfer students should make an appointment with their academic advisor in order to be enrolled in classes and have their advising hold removed. Transfer students should also attend New Student Orientation.
Military & Veteran Students
Military and veteran students are also required to attend the Rebel Veteran Transition Orientation. Read for more information.
International Students
