School-Wide Scholarships

Dr. John Pierce Endowed Scholarship

The Dr. John Pierce Endowed Scholarship was created to assist undergraduates who are veterans or active military. The exact award amount varies but is expected to be around $1,000.

Eligibility
  • Must be a veteran or active military undergrad student in the School of Integrated Health Sciences.
  • Must have demonstrated financial need through the FAFSA.
  • Preference is given to students who work to supplement their education costs and haven’t received similar scholarships.

Apply by Nov. 15 to receive support for the following fall semester.

John and Nicanora Gurley Endowed Scholarship

The John and Nicanora Gurley Endowed Scholarship was created to help high-achieving students in need. The exact award amount varies but is expected to be around $1,000.

Eligibility
  • Must be a full-time returning sophomore in the School of Integrated Health Sciences.
  • Must have demonstrated financial need according to the FAFSA or Alternative Need Determination Form.
  • Must maintain at least a 3.0 GPA.

Apply by Nov. 15 to receive support for the following fall semester.

Physical Therapy Scholarships

There are several scholarships available to physical therapy students, including:

  • The AJ Koval Family Foundation Scholarship
  • The Mary S. and D. Keith Kleven, P.T., M.S. Endowed Scholarship
  • The Dr. William H. and Patricia O’Grady Endowed Scholarship
  • The Delgado Family Endowed Physical Therapy Scholarship
  • The Kitty Rodman Endowed Scholarship

Information and applications for UNLV Physical Therapy scholarships are distributed by the Physical Therapy department to their students each year. Students may also be eligible for scholarships supported by differential tuition.

Brain Health Scholarships

Ph.D. candidates in the Department of Brain Health can receive support from the following:

  • Nathan J. Lindsay Brain Health Fellowship
  • Mary S. and D. Keith Kleven, P.T., M.S. Scholarship.

Application materials are distributed by the department to their students each year.

Athletic Training

The Rainone Family Scholarship is available to athletic training students who graduated from a Las Vegas area high school. Application materials are distributed by the department to their students each year.
