Voluntary Benefits

Various voluntary benefits are available to benefits-eligible employees. Voluntary benefits are optional, employee-paid benefits that supplement the benefits offered by the Public Employees’ Benefits Program (PEBP). Most are available through payroll deduction and are in addition to your regular health insurance premium. Enrollment with PEBP health insurance is not required to enroll in voluntary benefits.

Enrollment Overview

PEBP and the Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) offer similar voluntary benefits through different vendors. Certain benefits are available for enrollment anytime, while others have restrictions that require enrollment within 30 or 60 days from your date of hire or during open enrollment (OE) or a qualifying life event (QLE). Carefully read information about each to determine the best option for you.
