Description

UNLV celebrates "MSI Week" on March 25-29, 2024. But do you know your MSI and the alphabet soup of acronyms and eligibility criteria? Do you still get stumped? Join Kristine Jan C. Espinoza, Ph.D. Candidate in Higher Education, for an overview of Minority-Serving Institutions (MSI) in the United States. This session will especially highlight the Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) and Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) designations that UNLV holds and why it’s important to uplift what these designations mean.

Admission is free and CEUs are available for those attending the live event. A recording of the event will be available online.

Kristine Jan C. Espinoza is a Ph.D. Candidate studying Higher Education and completing a graduate certificate in Program Evaluation and Assessment at UNLV.
