Vitalant reminds all eligible donors giving blood is vital to ensuring an adequate supply is ready to help save lives every day, and when a natural or manmade disaster strikes.

Less blood is typically available for patients the week surrounding Labor Day than most other weeks of the year, but patients needs are ongoing. Several thousand fewer donors have given blood this summer than is needed to maintain an adequate supply.

Most people are eligible to donate blood, yet only about 3% do. The more people who step up, the more we can avoid delays in patient care.

You are invited to donate blood at the UNLV Alpha Epsilon Delta blood drive.  The drive will be held on Tuesday, September 19 and Wednesday 20 from 11 am to 3 pm at the Bloodmobile parked in front of CBC buildings
