Scholarship in Practice: Web Lecture Series. Portraits of the lecture presenters (Hasan Deniz, Erdogan Kaya, Ezgi Yesilyurt, and Refika Turgut)

Description

It's clear that technical skills will continue to be key for success in future workplaces. And today's students aren't waiting until their high school computer science classes to dip their toes in the artificial intelligence (AI) pool. So, why not help them learn how to use the tool through computer science lessons that include robots at the elementary school level? Even better, can we design lessons that are also responsive to the needs of multilingual learners? Join Professor Hasan Deniz to learn about his research (funded by the National Science Foundation) and discuss some of the innovative (and ethical) ways students can take advantage of AI-driven resources.

Join the conversation with Hasan Deniz (University of Nevada, Las Vegas), Erdogan Kaya, (University of Texas at Arlington), Ezgi Yesilyurt, (Utah State University), and Refika Turgut (University of South Carolina Upstate).
