Description
Join the Writing Center and the Teaching & Learning Commons for a two-part workshop series entitled "Less Frustration, More Learning: Smart Strategies to Scaffold Writing in the Classroom."
Part 1: "Designing Effective Assignment Prompts" is taking place this month on Friday, August 22 at 10 a.m.
In the first session, faculty will learn how to craft assignment prompts that set students up for success by making expectations transparent for both grading and student learning. You’ll also learn how to confidently guide students on when and how to use (or avoid) AI, helping students focus on the core skills and knowledge the assignment is designed to build.
Bring one of your own assignment prompts to revise during the session.
