Description

Travel with a small group of UNLV students to Kanab, Utah to work with Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. On this trip, students will learn to better protect and advocate for the rights and welfare of all animals through tours of the organization, community engagement/service projects, and reflection activities.

Transportation, lodging, and food are all included in the price of this trip. Alternative Break travel grants can be requested through this initial application.

Price

Cost: $100 total ($50 non-refundable deposit, $50 for final confirmation if selected)

Reminder: If you are selected for a trip, your non-refundable deposit becomes part of your trip payment and you will receive instructions regarding final payment. Remember that if you cancel after being accepted, your deposit/payment is non-refundable, so please apply after careful consideration. If travel is canceled by the university, monies will be refunded.

Admission Information

Applications are due at noon on Friday, Nov. 3. To register, complete the following steps:

  1. Sign into your WebTrac account
    1. If you need to create a new WebTrack account, enter your student email address and the word "password" (all lowercase) as your password on the sign in page. This will prompt the system to create a new account for you. Then, check your student email for a verification email, follow the instructions, and finish registering your new account.
  2. Visit our registration page and select the Animal Rights and Welfare Trip to be guided to the application.
  3. Add the Animal Rights & Welfare trip (item SLLFY24-01) to your trip selection list, and then follow the prompts to complete the application and make your deposit.
