The EMBA Experience
EMBA courses are sequenced through a lock-step program to ensure continuity in learning. In this format a group, or cohort, of approximately 25 highly motivated students is placed in a collaborative, team-oriented learning environment and proceeds through the program taking the same courses together over an 18-month period. This provides a unique experience that enhances interpersonal and team management skills throughout the program.
Each cohort is carefully comprised of business executives, thought leaders and entrepreneurs. This provides students the unique opportunity to learn as much from each other as they do from the hand-selected faculty. Our senior class, Cohort 15, form a diverse group of individuals from all areas of business. Cohort 16 began classes this summer. Our students and alumni are people with great stories who have risen to significant positions throughout the Las Vegas valley and continue to participate in the program through the EMBA Alumni Association. Many alumni, along with other prominent members of the community, serve as guest speakers in the program, providing students with their insights and offering the opportunity to network with some of Las Vegas' leading business people.
Convenient Weekend Format
Classes begin once a year in late spring. EMBA cohorts meet for one concentrated week of coursework at the beginning of the program, followed by class meetings every other Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. These intense, two-day sessions allow ample time for you to work with faculty and fellow students while providing the flexibility to meet your other professional and personal commitments.
Understanding that EMBA students are busy professionals and executives, the EMBA staff guides students through the program from application to graduation. They handle most of the administrative tasks such as registering students for classes and ordering textbooks — allowing the students to focus solely on their education.
The comprehensive $42,314 fee for the EMBA program includes:
- Tuition and most student fees
- Parking and graduation fees
- All books and course materials (delivered to student prior to the start of classes)
- Breakfast, lunch and refreshments on class days
- Transportation, hotel, cultural activities and most meals for the International Seminar
