Accountants are trusted, objective professionals who provide information for decision making and serve as business advisers. The Department of Accounting offers an undergraduate degree (BSBA) in accounting, a minor in accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) degree. Our curriculum prepares students to compete in the dynamic accounting field. Our accounting program holds separate accounting accreditation from the AACSB – The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

There are 16 full-time faculty members in the department with four part-time instructors and one full-time support staff member. There are approximately 110 graduate students in the Master of Science in Accounting program and 450 undergraduate students.

The mission of the UNLV Lee Business School Department of Accounting is to cultivate future accounting professionals, to conduct high quality research that contributes to practice and theory, and to create a collegial and collaborative workplace. We seek to further the missions of UNLV and Lee Business School by providing valuable services to Las Vegas, the State of Nevada, the United States, and the world.
