Our Quick Question service is a great way to get a fast answer to grammar, citation, or miscellaneous writing questions that have you momentarily stumped. You can ask your question while you are writing. During office hours, you will typically receive an answer within 30 minutes.

Our consultants should be able to answer your question in 10 minutes or less. If the answer takes longer to find or has a more complex explanation, we will suggest scheduling a consultation for more detailed help.

Note that writers are limited to submitting one question per day.
