At UNLV, Teaching and Learning Innovation brings together the Teaching & Learning Commons and UNLV Online to advance excellence in teaching, online learning, student success, and educational access. By fostering collaboration across colleges and programs, we support faculty in designing high-quality learning experiences, leverage technology to expand access through online and hybrid pathways, and create opportunities that prepare students for success in their academic, professional, and personal lives. Through this work, Teaching and Learning Innovation helps drive UNLV’s mission as a top-tier public research university committed to excellence and impact.

Teaching & Learning Commons (TLC)
The Teaching & Learning Commons (TLC) is the university’s central hub for advancing teaching excellence and student learning. Alongside our General Council and Advisory Board, we provide faculty and instructors with resources, programs, and collaborative opportunities that promote innovative teaching practices, professional growth, and supportive learning environments where all students can thrive. Through workshops, consultations, and campus partnerships, the TLC fosters a culture of continuous improvement in teaching and a shared commitment to student success.
