Employee Learning in Workday
Workday Learning is UNLV’s employee learning management system. As part of the NSHE Workday platform, Workday Learning brings employee learning into the same system used for many HR, payroll, and finance processes.
Through Workday Learning, employees can find assigned training, browse available learning opportunities, complete courses, and track their learning history in one place.
What You Can Do in Workday Learning
Complete Required Training
Employees can access assigned compliance-based training, required annual courses, and other university-required learning in Workday. Training assignments, due dates, completions, and learning history are tracked in the system.
Explore Professional Development
Workday Learning helps employees find learning opportunities that support growth, development, and success in their roles. Employees can search for courses, review available training, and complete learning activities based on their needs.
Track Your Learning History
Completed training is recorded in Workday Learning so employees and designated administrators can view learning history, monitor completion status, and support reporting needs.
Support Campus Training Programs
Departments and designated content creators can use Workday Learning to manage training content, support employee development, and deliver learning opportunities to the campus community.
Accessing Workday Learning and Navigation training
Workday Learning is available to UNLV employees, contingent workers, and eligible volunteers with an active Workday record and ACE credentials. Employees will use their ACE login credentials to access Workday.
Current Employees
Log in to Workday and go to the Learning application to view assigned training, browse available courses, and complete learning activities. If you do not see the Learning application, visit the menu button and (+) add app to search and add the Learning app.
New Employees
Once a new employee’s employee record is active in Workday and their ACE account has been established, required training courses are automatically assigned in Workday Learning. Once this occurs, new employees may receive notifications about required training courses in their Workday Notifications and Tasks. To access Workday Learning, new employees should follow the same process described above for all employees.
Content Creators
Designated department training administrators, known as content creators, may use Workday Learning to support department training needs. This may include creating or managing learning content, maintaining course information, hosting in-person/ virtual training sessions, and supporting training assignments based on approved access and governance.
Content Creators are required to complete the Workday Learning Training Academy before building or launching training content in Workday Learning.

Former/ Terminated Employees Appearing on the Overdue Mandatory Training Reports
Every two weeks, supervisors receive a list of their direct reports who have overdue mandatory training.
If the employee(s) listed on this report no longer work in your department or at UNLV, please work with the appropriate individual from your department to complete the termination process in Workday. Once the data in Workday has been updated, the reports will be accurate.
