Workday Learning Training Academy
The Workday Learning Training Academy (WLTA) is designed for department administrators who will serve as Workday Learning content creators. This training program prepares content creators to build, manage, and support training courses within Workday Learning.
The academy includes onboarding, web-based training, hands-on practice in the test environment, course design and build activities, office hours support, testing, and review. To graduate, content creators are required to launch their own training course.
After completing the Workday Learning Training Academy, content creators will be able to independently create and manage digital, in-person, and virtual training courses within Workday Learning.

Curriculum Schedule
The training portion of the program is asynchronous and completely online. Completion typically takes 10 hours. The curriculum is self-paced and flexible.
- Module 1: Onboarding (30 minutes)
- Module 2: Web-based Training (2 - 5 hours)
- Module 3: Sandbox, Design & Build, Office Hours (1 - 2 hours)
- Module 4: Production, Test, Final Review (1 - 2 hours)
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for WLTA, employees must:
- Have supervisor approval
- Commit approximately 10 hours to the academy
- Have training course materials prepared (must be finalized by module 2)
Graduation Requirements
To graduate from WLTA, employees must:
- Complete all modules
- Launch training in Workday Learning
- Administer their training courses going forward
General Workday Learning Information
- Workday Learning is available to UNLV employees and volunteers active in Workday.
- It is free to use. There is no direct cost associated with Workday Learning.
- There is no limit on the number of content creators for a department.
- Accepts all popular formats when building courses (SCORM, PDF, MP4, and more).
- Workday Learning cannot create content; it only administers content.
- Decentralized local administration with NSHE systemwide governance.
