Each year in the homecoming court is selected from UNLV students involved in various student organizations. Five queen candidates and five king candidates make up the homecoming court. From these 10 finalists, a homecoming king and queen are announced during half time at the homecoming football game. There are various aspects to the royalty competition including an online vote, interview process, and activities in which the candidates will participate for points.
