Faculty and staff are invited to join UNLV’s first university-wide observance of the National Day of Remembrance, honoring children who died during the Indian boarding school era and recognizing the resilience of survivors and their descendants.

Event Highlights:

Film Screening: Remaining Native – a documentary following 17-year-old Ku Stevens as he navigates his dreams while learning about his great-grandfather’s experiences at the Stewart Indian School.

Panel Discussion: Featuring the film director, Ku Stevens and family, Josh Bonde (Director, Stewart Indian School Cultural Center & Museum), and moderated by UNLV graduate student Analiesa Delgado.

Meet & Greet: Immediately following the film, attendees can enjoy Native tacos, refreshments, counseling support from UNLV CAPS and NAMI, and Remaining Native swag. T-shirts will also be provided to wear for Orange Shirt Day.
