UNLV School of Dental Medicine’s Student Research Day Symposium features speakers from UNLV and University of California San Francisco, presentations from students in the Doctor of Dental Medicine program and residents in the orthodontics and pediatric dentistry programs, and a research poster review session. 

10 a.m. – Keynote Speaker Dr. Jeff Kinney, UNLV Department of Brain Health, presents “Progress in Fluid Biomarkers for Alzheimer's Disease.” 

11 a.m. – Presentations by the top three finishers in the DMD Student Research Competition. 

12 p.m. – Lunch and DMD student poster viewing.

1 p.m. – Orthodontic and pediatric resident presentations.

1:30 p.m. – Keynote Speaker Dr. Effie Ioannidou, UCSF School of Dentistry, presents “Sex and Gender Intersection in Periodontitis: Why Do They Matter?”
